To connect a second YouTube channel to OneStream Live, open Social Platforms, choose Add Platform or Connect beside YouTube, then authorise the account and select its channel category. For a Studio broadcast, add or select that connected account under Set Destinations before you schedule or go live.
This is the documented route for adding an account, not a guarantee that every OneStream workflow supports simultaneous broadcasts to multiple YouTube channels. OneStream’s reviewed help pages describe adding social accounts and choosing destinations, but do not establish a universal maximum number of YouTube channels that can remain connected.
Open Social Platforms
Sign in to OneStream Live and open Social Platforms. This is the account-connection area: it is where you add a platform account before choosing that account as a destination for a particular broadcast. The connection step and the destination step are related, but they are not the same action.
If you have only used one YouTube channel so far, first note which Google or YouTube account is authorised for it. Then decide which account you want to use for the additional channel. The OneStream flow asks you to choose the YouTube account you want to connect; it does not say that every channel under the same Google login is handled identically to a channel reached through a separate Google account. Follow the account choices shown during authorisation rather than assuming the login arrangement.
Keep the intended channel open in another browser tab if that helps you check its name or ownership. This is useful where a business, devotional channel, or local station is managed by more than one person. You want to be certain that the account authorised in the connection flow has access to the channel you plan to broadcast to, not merely that you can sign in to Google.
For background on the broadcast path rather than account linking, see our guide to YouTube Studio and OBS for a 24/7 pre-recorded stream. It helps distinguish the tool used to produce a stream from the destination account to which it is sent. That distinction matters here: connecting an account does not by itself start a broadcast.
Choose Add Platform or YouTube Connect
From Social Platforms, look for Add Platform. Depending on the view, the YouTube row may instead show Connect. The two labels lead into the process of adding a platform account; use the control displayed in your account rather than looking for a different menu based on another person’s screenshot.
Choose YouTube when the platform selection appears. OneStream’s Help Center describes the next action as selecting the YouTube account to connect, choosing the channel category, and clicking Connect. The YouTube setup guide from OneStream Live Help Center documents this sequence. Its instructions are the best reference if a button label or screen arrangement differs slightly from what you expected.
The authorisation screen is an important checkpoint. Read the account identity shown there before continuing. If a shared computer has been used by another channel manager, the browser may already be signed in to a Google account you did not intend to choose. If you see the wrong identity, stop and switch to the account that owns or can access the second channel before granting access.
Do not infer from the presence of an Add Platform button that a specific plan is required just to connect another YouTube account. The reviewed documentation does not establish that connecting a second account itself requires a paid plan. If your account presents a plan or permission notice, check the current OneStream help material or ask support what that notice applies to; do not assume it is a universal connection rule.
Select the second account and channel category
When asked which YouTube account to connect, select the account that can access the channel you intend to use. If Google presents multiple choices, verify the displayed identity carefully. The label might be an email address or an account name, and neither should be guessed from memory if several people manage related channels.
Next, select the channel category presented in the OneStream flow. Treat this as a required setup choice, not as a promise about how YouTube will classify every later video or audience. If the category is unclear, use the closest accurate choice shown in the interface and consult OneStream’s current instructions if you cannot proceed.
Click Connect to complete that flow. Wait for the interface to finish rather than closing the page as soon as you have authorised Google. A successful authorisation and a completed connection are separate points in the process; you still need to check that OneStream has returned you to its account area and shows the new connection.
This account selection is also why the word “second” can be ambiguous. It may mean a second separate Google account, or another YouTube channel that you manage through an existing account arrangement. The documented instruction is to choose the YouTube account you intend to connect. It does not give a universal rule for how channel switching inside Google will behave, so use the choices presented and confirm the result in OneStream.
Connect and confirm it appears
After you click Connect, return to Social Platforms and look for the newly added YouTube account. OneStream’s social-platform instructions say that connected accounts appear in this area. Check the displayed account or channel identity, not just the fact that a YouTube tile is present: you may already have had the first channel connected.
If the account appears, the connection step is complete. You have not yet selected it for a particular live session. Before relying on it for a scheduled broadcast, open the session’s destination settings and confirm that the intended channel is available there. This small check catches a common mismatch between “the platform is linked” and “this session will go to the channel I meant”.
If you plan to send the same programme to two channels at once, treat that as a separate destination decision. Add or select each intended account in the session and verify the list before you schedule or go live. The OneStream Studio help article explains connecting multiple social accounts and choosing accounts as destinations, but it does not specify a YouTube-only cap or promise that every type of session supports multiple YouTube destinations. The Studio multiple-account instructions are the relevant reference for that session workflow.
OneStream’s multistreaming page advertises plan-based simultaneous destination capacities. As listed on OneStream’s site on 3 October 2026, those capacities are described as follows. They concern destinations used at the same time, not a stated maximum number of YouTube accounts that can be kept connected:
| Plan label on OneStream’s page | Advertised simultaneous destinations |
|---|---|
| Free | 2 |
| Basic | 5 |
| Standard | 10 |
| Professional | 30 |
| Enterprise | Up to 50 |
Plan names, inclusions, and limits can change, so check OneStream’s current plan information before making a decision. Do not read this table as proof that a given plan permits a matching number of persistent YouTube connections, or that two YouTube destinations are supported in every workflow. If your goal is one channel at a time, connect the account and select only the destination needed for that broadcast.
Select an account for a Studio session
For a OneStream Studio session, open Set Destinations. Choose the already connected YouTube account you want to use. If the account is not connected yet, the Studio flow provides an Add Platform route, after which you can connect a new account and return to destination selection.
The destination choice belongs to the session. A channel connected under Social Platforms is not necessarily the selected destination for a new session, so check the setting every time you set up a broadcast. If you are scheduling a devotional loop for one channel and a local news loop for another, verify the channel identity in each session instead of relying on a previous session’s selection.
Before you go live or schedule, look over the destination list once more. Confirm that the intended account is present and that you have not selected a different account with a similar name. If you intend a single-channel broadcast, selecting the correct account is enough; there is no need to add another destination simply because it is connected.
For a simultaneous stream to two channels, the evidence supports a cautious approach: select both destinations only if the session interface offers them, and confirm both are listed before proceeding. The connection documentation supports multiple social accounts generally, but it does not promise multiple YouTube destinations for every Studio workflow. If the second channel does not appear in the destination picker even though it is visible under Social Platforms, seek current OneStream guidance before scheduling an important broadcast.
Add a connection from Set Destinations if needed
You do not have to leave a Studio session just because the second account is not connected yet. In Set Destinations, choose Add Platform, connect the account through the displayed flow, then select it as the destination. The account should be authenticated and available before the session is started or scheduled.
This route is useful when you are preparing a particular broadcast and discover that its intended channel is not yet linked. It does not remove the need to check the account selected during authorisation or to verify the channel afterward. If the session is time-sensitive, finish the connection and destination check before the planned start rather than trying to resolve account access while viewers are waiting.
If you are using OBS or another encoder rather than OneStream Studio, the destination steps are different. OneStream’s guide says to open Encoder Streaming, select a stream key if required, choose Set Destinations, select social destinations, save, and complete the broadcast details. YouTube is listed among the supported platforms in the OneStream supported-platforms guide, and the encoder destination guide describes that separate route.
The encoder workflow may matter if the rest of your production already runs in OBS. Our guide to launching OBS with a saved profile and scene collection for YouTube looping covers a different part of that setup: preparing the encoder itself. The destination selection still needs to be checked separately in OneStream if that is where you are routing the broadcast.
If the channel is missing, check the account and seek help
First check which Google or YouTube account was authorised. A browser session can make it easy to pick an account that is already signed in, especially when a channel is managed across a team. Return to the connection flow only after you are clear about which identity has the required access to the missing channel.
Then check both places where the account matters: Social Platforms for the persistent connection, and Set Destinations for the selected session destination. If it appears in the first area but not the second, the issue may be specific to the session’s available destination choices. If it does not appear in Social Platforms at all, the connection may not have completed or the wrong account may have been selected.
Avoid treating a missing channel as evidence of a universal cap. The reviewed documentation does not establish a maximum number of separate YouTube channels that can remain connected to one OneStream account in every workflow. It also does not establish that separate channels under one Google login behave exactly like distinct Google accounts. The useful next step is to verify the authorised account and then contact OneStream support with the screen or workflow where the channel is missing.
If you are trying to send one continuous stream through an encoder, the route and failure points differ from Studio. Our explainer on RTMP, HLS, SRT and other video streaming protocols can help you separate an account-connection issue from an encoder or delivery-path question. Keep the immediate troubleshooting narrow: confirm account access, confirm connection visibility, then confirm session destination selection.
A connected account does not resolve the separate question of whether you have permission to stream the material on that channel. If your programme contains music or other third-party material, check the current YouTube guidance and the rights terms that apply to your content. Account setup and content rights are different checks, and success at one does not settle the other.

FAQ
Can I connect a second YouTube account to OneStream Live?
The documented flow is to open Social Platforms, choose Add Platform or Connect beside YouTube, select the account and channel category, then click Connect. Confirm that the new account appears in Social Platforms and select it as a session destination when needed.
Where do I choose the second channel for a Studio broadcast?
Open the Studio session’s Set Destinations and select the connected account. If it is not connected yet, use Add Platform there, complete the connection, and then choose the account before going live or scheduling.
How many YouTube channels can stay connected?
The reviewed OneStream documentation does not state a universal maximum number of connected YouTube channels for every workflow. Its advertised simultaneous destination capacities are a separate plan detail and should not be treated as a persistent account-connection limit.
What should I do if my second channel is missing?
Check which Google or YouTube identity was authorised and whether the account appears under Social Platforms. If it is connected but absent from the session destination choices, or still missing after checking the account, contact OneStream support rather than assuming an undocumented limit.
