To prepare morning and evening devotional playlists on YouTube, make a separate, clearly named playlist for each intended sequence on each channel, then check the playback method you plan to use. YouTube’s help describes creating, saving and playing playlists, but the reviewed documentation does not document timed automatic rotation of ordinary playlists across channels.

If you manage several regional-language channels from one computer, the important work is deliberate channel selection and a repeatable manual routine. Android Clock may offer a YouTube Music playlist as an alarm sound, but you must confirm the exact playlist is available on your device and test it; do not assume that playlist edits or channel changes will happen on a timer.

What playlist rotation on one computer really means

“One-PC rotation” can mean two different things. You might maintain separate morning and evening playlists for several YouTube channels from one browser, or you might expect one computer to start changing what plays at puja times without anyone touching it. The first is a practical channel-management routine. The second is not a feature documented in the YouTube help reviewed for this article.

A playlist is a saved, ordered collection. It makes a chosen sequence easier to find and play again, but saving a playlist does not itself start playback at a particular time. Nor does switching the selected channel in a browser constitute a schedule: it changes the account context in which you are working. You still need to select and play the intended playlist, or use a separately tested alarm or playback arrangement.

For example, you might manage a Hindi bhajan channel, a Tamil devotional channel and a Kannada temple-music channel on the same desktop. The Hindi channel could have “Morning Puja — Hindi” and “Evening Aarti — Hindi”; the other channels could have their own appropriately named pairs. Keeping the language and time of day in each title helps you notice a wrong selection before you publish or play it.

If your actual aim is a 24/7 live broadcast rather than playback of a playlist in the YouTube app, that is a different job. The practical concerns around a long-running devotional broadcast are covered in how to stream Venkateswara devotional songs on YouTube. Do not treat a saved playlist, an autoplay setting or a live broadcast as interchangeable features.

Select the intended YouTube channel first

Before creating or editing anything, check which channel is active. A Google account can have access to more than one YouTube channel, so the name or avatar shown in the interface is not a detail to skip. If you edit a playlist while the wrong channel is selected, you may put the material on the wrong public identity or spend time trying to find it later under the intended one.

On your computer, open YouTube and use the profile menu to review the currently selected channel. If the menu offers a channel switch, choose the channel you mean to work on, then pause to verify its name and avatar before proceeding. Interface labels can change; the reliable check is the active identity shown by YouTube, not a remembered click sequence.

A simple channel register makes this less error-prone. Keep a small note beside your work with the channel name, language, intended playlist names and the person responsible for checking the selection. Avoid storing passwords or stream keys in that note. If several family members or staff share the routine, agree on one naming pattern so that “Morning Puja” does not refer to a different kind of content on each channel.

If the computer is also used to run a live stream, treat the channel context and the live-streaming setup as separate checks. The guide to keeping a YouTube stream running when OBS closes unexpectedly addresses a broadcast interruption, not playlist scheduling. That distinction matters: fixing a stream restart does not make a playlist start at a chosen time.

Create or update that channel’s playlist

With the intended channel selected, create a new playlist or find and update the one you already use. Give morning and evening sequences distinct names, ideally with the language or channel identity included when you manage more than one channel. “Morning Puja — Tamil” is easier to identify in a picker than two playlists both called “Bhajans”.

YouTube’s playlist creation and management help explains the playlist workflow. YouTube Music has a separate guide to making or editing a playlist. The precise controls differ between the main YouTube app, YouTube Music and desktop, so follow the steps for the interface you are actually using rather than assuming a button is in the same place.

Choose a playlist name that describes its use rather than promising a schedule. A title such as “Evening Aarti — Malayalam” identifies content and language; it does not imply that YouTube will begin playing at evening aarti. If you change the purpose of an old playlist, update the name and contents together so its title remains a reliable guide.

When you create a playlist, decide whether it should be public, unlisted or private for your use case, and check the current privacy description in YouTube before saving. A private playlist is visible only to its owner, which is useful for personal preparation but not for a public audience. If viewers need to find a devotional selection, use a visibility setting that supports that purpose and check how the finished playlist appears while signed out or from another account.

Add items, set privacy and arrange the order

Add only the videos or tracks that belong in that particular sequence. A morning playlist might begin with the opening prayer or chant you expect to hear first; an evening sequence may have a different opening and closing. Check titles and language as you add items. Similar artwork or devotional titles can make a Hindi and Telugu recording look alike in a quick scan.

After adding items, review the sequence from top to bottom. Reorder where the interface permits it, then open the playlist and check that the first item is actually the one you want. A saved collection is more dependable than rebuilding an informal queue each time, but the order still needs to be checked after edits. If a video becomes unavailable or is removed, the intended flow may no longer be intact.

Do not use autoplay as a substitute for an ordered playlist. YouTube describes autoplay as a way to play another related video after the current one; it does not promise the next item will follow your chosen devotional order. Its settings may differ by device, and YouTube says autoplay stops after 30 minutes of inactivity on mobile data and after four hours on Wi-Fi. See the current YouTube autoplay help for the behaviour and controls.

A queue is also not the same as a lasting playlist. YouTube’s computer queue guidance says a queue will not be saved after closing the browser and points users towards playlists for later access. The Android queue documentation also describes mobile queueing as a Premium feature. If you want to reuse a deliberate sequence, save it as a playlist rather than trusting a session queue to survive.

Method What it is suited to What you should verify
Saved YouTube playlist Keeping a named sequence available to find and play again Channel identity, privacy, item availability and order
YouTube autoplay Continuing with related content after a video Whether related recommendations are acceptable; it is not a timed start or ordered rotation
Android Clock with YouTube Music Testing a selected playlist as an alarm sound That the exact playlist appears in the picker and plays on the intended phone and account
Google Home or Nest speaker Hands-free music playback by voice Linked account, requested playlist behaviour and whether on-demand playback is available

Switch channel context and repeat carefully

Once one channel’s morning and evening playlists have been checked, switch to the next channel and repeat the full sequence. Do not assume that editing a Hindi playlist has made a corresponding Tamil playlist, or that selecting another channel has copied any content. Treat each channel as its own destination: select it, verify it, find or create its playlists, and check both the titles and contents.

A useful order is to work one channel at a time rather than hopping between channels after every edit. For each channel, confirm the identity, update the morning playlist, inspect privacy and order, then do the same for evening. Make a short note that the channel is complete before switching away. This reduces the chance of leaving one channel half-updated or applying a correction to the wrong playlist.

If your channel has a public-facing live programme with different times of day, playlist editing still does not change a broadcast schedule by itself. For a separate production question about switching programmes in a continuous radio-style stream, see how to make a YouTube radio livestream switch between scheduled programmes. That is about the stream’s programme arrangement, not a native timer that rotates ordinary YouTube playlists across channels.

The limitation is worth stating plainly: the reviewed YouTube help does not document timed automatic playlist rotation across channels. Do not plan a daily puja around the belief that a channel switch, playlist edit or autoplay setting will take place unattended at a chosen morning and evening time. If you need a start without manual action, test a specific documented playback route on the actual account and device, and keep a fallback that a person can operate.

Build a repeatable manual maintenance routine

A routine helps because regional-language content is easy to confuse when playlists have similar names. Keep a small checklist with one row per channel and columns for morning playlist, evening playlist, privacy, order checked and last review. The checklist is a record of your manual work, not a scheduler. Set a reminder in a calendar if you want to prompt the person responsible to review it; the reminder does not alter YouTube playlists.

During each review, select the channel and read its name before making edits. Open each playlist from that channel’s library rather than relying on browser history. Check that the first few items match the intended language and time of day, then scan the rest for missing, unavailable or duplicated material. If a playlist is public, view it as a viewer would where practical; the owner’s view can include controls that a viewer does not see.

For an Android alarm experiment, use the Clock app’s alarm sound picker and look for YouTube Music. Google’s documentation describes choosing YouTube Music and searching for a song, artist, album or playlist. It does not guarantee that every playlist, region, account or app version will show the same choices. Confirm the exact intended playlist in the picker and test the alarm on the phone you will use before relying on it for puja.

For a Nest or Google Home speaker, Google documents YouTube Music playback on its speakers and displays. The account linked to the speaker matters. Google notes that listeners without the relevant Premium service may receive a station inspired by the request, while Premium supports on-demand specific songs, albums and playlists. See Google’s speaker music guidance and test a request for the named playlist rather than assuming the speaker will select it precisely.

These options have different trade-offs. A desktop playlist gives you a stable, ordered selection but someone still needs to start it. An Android alarm is closer to a timed start, yet the picker and result must be tested on your own device. A speaker can remove the need to handle a phone during playback, but it does not create a schedule on its own and may not provide the exact playlist under every account arrangement.

If the recurring burden is instead keeping a pre-recorded devotional video live while your own computer is switched off, that is a different workflow from a playlist in the YouTube app. StreamNeo can remove the need to leave your computer running for that specific 24/7 broadcast task: you upload a video, provide the YouTube stream key, and the broadcast runs without your computer, with monitoring and automatic restart if it drops. It is YouTube-only; it does not schedule ordinary playlists in the YouTube app or rotate channel playlists at puja times.

FAQ

Can YouTube start my morning and evening playlist automatically?

The YouTube help reviewed here documents playlist creation and playback, not a general feature that starts an ordinary playlist at two recurring times each day. Autoplay continues with related videos and is not a chosen-time scheduler. If you need an automatic start, test a documented route such as the Android Clock YouTube Music alarm on the device and account you will use.

Can I rotate playlists across multiple channels from one desktop?

You can manage playlists for different channels from one desktop by selecting each channel and doing the work in that channel’s context. The reviewed documentation does not describe a timer that automatically switches channel context and rotates playlists. Use a checklist and verify the active channel before every set of edits.

Will the exact YouTube Music playlist appear in Android Clock?

Google documents selecting YouTube Music in the alarm sound picker and searching for content, including playlists. It does not promise that every playlist or account will be offered on every phone or in every region. Check the picker, select the exact playlist if it appears, and test it before relying on the alarm.

Is a YouTube queue enough for recurring puja playback?

A queue is oriented around the current session, and the computer queue does not remain saved after closing the browser. Save a playlist when you want an ordered collection to return to later. Before playback, still check that the playlist is available and begins with the intended item.
