PRISM Live Studio Mobile Not Connecting to YouTube in India: How to Fix It

Diagnose PRISM Mobile connection failures by stage, then check YouTube eligibility, account access, event setup and stream health.

“Not connecting” is a symptom, not a diagnosis. First identify whether PRISM Live Studio Mobile cannot link your YouTube account, cannot create a live event, or starts sending video and then loses the stream; each stage points to different checks.

If YouTube has blocked mobile live streaming for the channel, changing phone networks will not restore access. Check channel eligibility first, then work through sign-in, event creation and transmission only as far as the error indicates.

Identify where the connection fails

Write down the exact error and what you were doing when it appeared. Did it happen while signing in or choosing a channel, while PRISM was trying to create the YouTube event, or after the app showed that it was sending video? That simple distinction prevents a network reset from becoming the default response to every problem.

PRISM’s mobile YouTube troubleshooting guide separates cases such as “YouTube Login Has Expired”, “YouTube Stream Creation Failed” and “YouTube Streaming Cannot Be Started”. Match the wording on your screen as closely as possible. If your app version uses different wording, note that too rather than assuming the closest label is the cause.

What you see Likely stage to investigate Useful evidence
YouTube account will not connect, or login has expired Account link or authorisation PRISM error text, intended channel and whether sign-in completes
Event creation fails before video is sent YouTube eligibility, event setup or PRISM’s connection to YouTube Channel status, event settings and whether Live Control Room shows an incoming stream
Video begins but stops, buffers or never reaches YouTube Outgoing network, RTMP details or stream format PRISM’s transmission message and YouTube stream health, if an incoming stream appears

These are investigation paths, not definitive diagnoses. An event-creation failure can have more than one cause, and an error that appears during transmission may still relate to channel restrictions. Use the stage and evidence together.

For a channel-based failure, check eligibility before troubleshooting Wi-Fi or cellular service. If the stream reaches YouTube but stops later, the issue may resemble a broadcast that goes offline when its input ends, although a mobile connection failure has different possible causes.

Check YouTube mobile live eligibility

Before changing phone settings, confirm that YouTube allows the intended channel to go live from a mobile device. YouTube’s mobile live-streaming guidance lists a verified channel, at least 50 subscribers, live streaming enabled, and no live-streaming restrictions within the previous 90 days among its requirements. It also lists Android 8.0 or later, or iOS 8 or later, for the YouTube mobile live feature.

Those are YouTube feature requirements, not PRISM’s app requirements. PRISM’s published mobile app requirements are higher: Android 10 at minimum, with Android 13 recommended, and iOS or iPadOS 16.0 or later. Check the current PRISM mobile system requirements against your phone’s operating system. A device can meet YouTube’s listed mobile threshold and still be outside PRISM’s supported range.

If you have only just enabled live streaming, YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Repeatedly reconnecting PRISM during that waiting period does not make the channel eligible sooner. Check the channel’s live access again after the activation period rather than treating the delay as a phone-network fault.

Check the channel you actually intend to use. If you manage multiple channels or brand accounts, a successful sign-in to the wrong one will not make the intended channel eligible. Verify the selected channel’s status, subscriber threshold, verification and live-streaming access in YouTube, not just the account name displayed in PRISM.

India is not, by itself, evidence that mobile live streaming is unavailable. YouTube’s mobile live help lists India in a separate context for Playables, while the mobile eligibility requirements still apply. That does not prove every account, feature, carrier or network will work in every location. It does mean you should test the particular channel and app path instead of assuming a country-wide block.

Do not copy an IPv4-only setting from a desktop troubleshooting article to PRISM Mobile. The India- and Indonesia-specific IPv4 instruction sometimes cited for PRISM concerns a particular desktop error, not a documented mobile remedy. For the phone app, use the mobile-specific checks in the current PRISM guidance.

Fix sign-in or expired login

If the failure occurs before you can select the channel, or PRISM reports “YouTube Login Has Expired”, investigate authorisation before changing streaming quality. An expired login means the app needs a valid connection to the account; lowering resolution cannot refresh that permission.

Reconnect the intended YouTube account through PRISM’s supported sign-in flow. Check that the account chooser leads to the channel you mean to stream from, especially if you have more than one Google account on the phone. Once connected, confirm that PRISM displays the correct channel before proceeding to event setup.

If sign-in opens a browser or account-selection screen but does not return cleanly to PRISM, note where it stops. Close and reopen the app, ensure the phone’s browser can complete the Google sign-in, and retry the supported flow. If the same account-link error returns, record it and contact PRISM rather than repeatedly removing unrelated phone settings.

Treat permissions and account access separately. A permission prompt may concern the app’s access to the YouTube account, while a microphone or camera permission concerns local capture. If you are broadcasting a prepared video, a camera permission issue is not automatically the cause of an account-link failure. Grant only the permissions relevant to the workflow you are using.

If you can sign in but cannot start an event, the account link has at least progressed further. Return to the eligibility and event-creation checks rather than cycling through account removal. If login repeatedly expires, gather the app version, phone model and operating system, and the exact message before seeking support.

Resolve stream-creation errors

A message such as “YouTube Stream Creation Failed” points to the step where PRISM and YouTube are arranging the live event. Confirm first that YouTube live access is enabled for the selected channel and that any first-time activation wait has passed. Then review the event’s title, privacy and other required details, and check whether YouTube shows an event or a stream in Live Control Room.

Separate event creation from video transmission. If the event exists but no video arrives, the next checks are the outgoing stream, network and any manual RTMP configuration. If no event appears and PRISM fails before sending, a bandwidth change may not address the failure. The Live Control Room’s view of the event can help show whether YouTube received anything.

If you have configured manual RTMP rather than using PRISM’s standard YouTube connection, verify the stream URL and stream key against the intended YouTube event. PRISM notes that a server address can look valid yet still refer to a server that does not exist. A key from another event or channel will not direct the video to the event you are checking.

Keep the stream key private. Do not include it in a screenshot, public post or ordinary support email. If support needs to inspect the setup, describe the configuration and share only through a channel they identify as appropriate; never expose the key as a shortcut to diagnosis.

An event that was scheduled or created earlier may not be the one PRISM is now targeting. Compare the channel and event details in both apps. If you are running a continuous replay rather than a one-off mobile broadcast, the planning considerations are different; see how to run a charity gala replay continuously on YouTube Live.

Check network and outgoing-stream stability

Move to network troubleshooting when PRISM has reached the transmission stage, or when its error specifically concerns streaming. PRISM’s mobile guide says, “Live streaming requires a stable and high-bandwidth network to handle the continuous transmission of large amounts of video data in real time.” A phone may browse and play ordinary video successfully yet still struggle to sustain an upload at the selected stream settings.

If practical, test one stable alternative connection, such as another Wi-Fi network or cellular data. Change one thing at a time and note whether PRISM begins sending or whether the error stays the same. On shared Wi-Fi, another person’s video call, upload or large transfer can reduce the capacity available to your stream. Pause avoidable traffic during a test, but do not infer a permanent fix from one short successful attempt.

For a transmission that drops or buffers, reduce the resolution temporarily and try again. PRISM recommends checking network conditions, lowering resolution as a temporary measure and returning its stream setting to “Adaptive” if you had turned that option off. These adjustments reduce or respond to the demands of the outgoing stream; they do not repair an expired login, restore channel eligibility or correct a nonexistent RTMP address.

If the issue occurs on one connection but not another, that is useful evidence about the network path, not proof that a specific carrier or provider is always at fault. If it occurs on both, retain the error and test the stream’s settings before assuming that buying a new phone, router or microphone will help. Hardware is relevant only when a diagnosed device or network limitation justifies it.

Use YouTube’s stream diagnostics

When YouTube receives an incoming stream, open the event in Live Control Room and check its stream health and error messages. YouTube’s official live-stream troubleshooting guidance covers issues including incorrect bitrate, incompatible video or audio formats and codecs, and daily streaming limits. Follow the error it actually reports rather than changing settings by guesswork.

If YouTube indicates that the chosen resolution cannot be supported by the available bandwidth, consider a lower resolution. This overlaps with PRISM’s temporary resolution advice, but the diagnostic context matters: a specific YouTube health warning is stronger evidence than a general suspicion that the phone’s connection is slow.

If Live Control Room shows no incoming stream, YouTube’s format and bitrate diagnostics may not yet be relevant. Go back to the point before YouTube receives video: PRISM’s transmission status, the network path, and—only if configured manually—the RTMP URL and key. The absence of an incoming signal does not establish which of those is at fault.

Keep the test simple. Use one event, one selected channel and one connection at a time. Note whether the stream appears in Live Control Room, what health message is shown and whether PRISM reports a local error. That record makes the next adjustment more targeted and prevents several simultaneous changes from obscuring the cause.

Retry and verify the live event

After making a change that fits the failure stage, retry once and observe the whole path. Confirm that PRISM is connected to the intended channel, that the event is created, and that YouTube receives the stream. A “live” indication in one app does not by itself confirm that viewers can see the intended event on YouTube.

Check the event’s visibility and the public viewing page using the account or device appropriate for that setting. If the event is private or unlisted, a viewer who does not have access may not find it through search; that is different from a failed connection. Verify the event details before sharing its link.

For a short test, watch the stream long enough to see whether the initial connection remains steady, and check Live Control Room for health warnings. Do not call a momentary connection proof of reliable long-running transmission. If your aim is a 24/7 pre-recorded channel rather than a phone-led live session, the setup is different; this comparison of continuous-streaming approaches can help frame that separate decision.

If the failure persists, send PRISM support the exact error, app version, phone model and OS, network type, time of failure, and whether Live Control Room showed an incoming stream. PRISM’s Google Play listing provides its support contact as [email protected]; check the current listing before using it. Do not send a public stream key. Keeping those details together helps support distinguish an account, app, event or transmission problem.

When the underlying issue is that a prepared video must continue broadcasting while your phone or computer is off, repeatedly relaunching a mobile session is not the same workflow. StreamNeo can remove that specific need to keep a personal device running by taking an uploaded video and broadcasting it as a YouTube live stream; it does not repair PRISM or make an ineligible channel eligible.

FAQ

Does being in India stop PRISM Mobile from connecting to YouTube?

The evidence does not support treating India itself as a blanket block on mobile live streaming. Check the channel’s YouTube eligibility and the specific failure stage, while remembering that availability can differ by account, feature, carrier or network. Do not apply a desktop-only IPv4 instruction as a mobile fix.

Why does PRISM say YouTube login has expired?

That message points first to the account authorisation, not the stream’s upload bandwidth. Reconnect the intended channel through PRISM’s supported sign-in flow and verify that the correct channel is selected. If the message returns, record the app and device details for support.

What should I do if stream creation fails but sign-in works?

Check mobile live eligibility and confirm that first-time activation has had time to complete if you just enabled it. Then inspect whether the event appears in YouTube Live Control Room and whether you use manual RTMP. Network changes are more relevant when video is being transmitted than when event creation fails before an incoming stream exists.

Should I change PRISM to IPv4 Only on my phone?

The India-specific IPv4 instruction cited in some PRISM troubleshooting material applies to a desktop error, not a documented PRISM Mobile remedy. For the mobile app, use its own current guidance and test a different network only when the failure stage indicates a transmission problem.
