Managing a 24/7 Channel From a Phone: What You Can and Cannot Do
What YouTube Studio's mobile app can manage on a 24/7 channel — stream health, chat, content swaps — and the two tasks that still need a browser.
You can run the daily maintenance of a 24/7 YouTube channel almost entirely from the Studio app: checking that the stream is live, moderating chat, replying to comments, editing the title or thumbnail, and, with the right cloud tool, swapping the video file itself. What a phone cannot do is show you the detailed stream health graph, change encoder settings, generate a stream key, or handle a Content ID claim properly. Those still want a browser.

Menus in the app get reshuffled every few updates, so treat the tab names here as approximate rather than a screenshot-accurate walkthrough. If a button has moved, the capability is almost always still there under a different tab or a "more" overflow menu.
What it does not give you is the Live Control Room that desktop users see at studio.youtube.com, the page built specifically for managing an active RTMP-fed broadcast. That is where the stream health graph, DVR window, latency setting, closed-caption ingestion and stream key live, and none of it has a full mobile equivalent. For a 24/7 channel fed by an encoder or a cloud tool rather than the phone's own camera, that gap is the one to plan around.
